Description:

Once the pickups are finished, you will leave the hotel zone behind and head towards Villa de Candelaria. There you will have the opportunity to visit its basilica, which houses the Virgin of Candelaria (also known as the Virgin Morenita), patron saint of the Canary Islands. In addition, you will be impressed by the majestic bronze statues that honor the ancient Menceyes (Guanche kings) of Tenerife, constituting a national monument.

We will continue our route towards La Laguna, the first city founded in Tenerife after its conquest. This historical gem was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. There, we will walk through its picturesque streets full of history and culture.

The excursion will continue to the north of the island, where you will explore the Historical-Artistic Complex of the Villa de La Orotava. Its streets, full of history and beauty, will take you to La Casa de Los Balcones, one of the most emblematic buildings in La Orotava and the center of embroidery and openwork of typical Canarian costumes.

Next, we will visit Garachico, included in the list of “MOST BEAUTIFUL TOWNS IN SPAIN” in 2021. This town, which suffered partial damage from a volcanic eruption in 1706, was later rebuilt. Currently, it preserves a rich architectural heritage from the 16th and 17th centuries, which is why its historic center was declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1994.

You will have free time to have lunch on your own or enjoy local cuisine at one of the recommended restaurants.

On the way back to the south of the island, we will enter the Teno Rural Park to visit the picturesque Masca hamlet, one of the most beautiful landscapes in Tenerife, where nature mixes with one of the best examples of traditional architecture. canary.
