Description:
We will travel by ferry from Tenerife to Gran Canaria with Fred Olsen Express . To get to Snow Port in Agaete , we will go directly to the historic center of Vegeta . There, we will explore its streets full of culture and history on a walking tour.
Next, our adventure will take us to the aquarium Poem of the Sea in The Gran Canarian palms . This impressive theme park, inaugurated on December 17, 2017 , immerses visitors in the grandeur of nature through three unique environments: jungle, beach reef and deep ocean. With an impressive surface of 12,000 square meters , the facility exhibits 35 marine and river ecosystems of all the world. The aquarium pays tribute to the Canarian artist Néstor de la Torre , a leading figure in avant-garde art of the early 20th century, and his work “Poemas del Atlántico.” It stands out for having the largest curved glass in the world: a panel of 140-ton methacrylate , which extends 36 meters long and 7 meters high . Behind this glass, visitors can marvel at 350 species of 35 different ecosystems , including sharks, piranhas, freshwater rays, crocodiles and sea dragons.
Our last stop will be at the distilleries Arehucas , where we will discover the secrets behind the unique rums produced there. This tour will take us through the history, tradition and craftsmanship of Arehucas. Inside one of the oldest rum cellars in Europe, made up of 4,308 American oak barrels , some even with the signatures of famous personalities, we will learn about the rum making process. To end the day, we will enjoy a tasting of rums and liqueurs.
After this enriching experience, we will return to the Snow Port in Agaete to take the ferry back to Tenerife.
